伝統和菓子の金平糖を、日本の美意識の象徴として具現化させた照明。
球体に六角形の花を咲かせ、金平糖の特徴である角状の突起を表現。
箔や和紙、おり紙を挟んだ700にもおよぶパーツを手仕事によって留め合わせています。

Inspired by the eponymous traditional Japanese candy, Konpeito captures the essence of the Japanese aesthetic sensibility. It is a work constructed of hexagonal petal-shaped parts attached to central sphere in a manner reminiscent of the characteristic angular bulges of konpeito candy. As many as 700 of these "petals," with either foil, Japanese paper or thin colored paper sandwiched between two pieces of transparent material.
